FAQ
What is a food stylist?
A food stylist is an individual who uses food as a medium for creating visual content. This typically involves sourcing, cooking, and styling food and beverages for camera. Stylists do not typically take the photograph, rather they have specific knowledge of how to make food look its best and keep it that way for the time it takes an image to be captured.
Where would I see work done by a food stylist?
Nearly every published image of food, from those found in cookbooks and magazines to pictures on packaging in the grocery aisle have been created by a professional stylist and captured by a food photographer.
Nicole’s work has been featured in magazines, cookbooks, billboards, television ads, movie posters, catalogs, menu boards, and on product packaging. As a local New Yorker, Nicole was proud to have her work featured throughout the New York Subway and in Times Square. She also helped create an installation at New York Fashion Week, titled La Fruta for Mansur Gavriel’s Fall 2019 presentation.
